Shasta Riding Club is a nonprofit, horseback riding program in Weed, CA where children, their families and knowledgeable leaders share the passion of horsemanship regardless of economic resources, learning styles, or any other differences. We celebrate diversity in our students, horses and programs.
We pair rescued or donated horses with eager youth to teach riding lessons, run day camps and provide meaningful, positive experiences for all involved. We are dedicated to helping build community, strengthen relationships, empower individuals and teach valuable life skills through horseback riding and horsemanship instruction.
Shasta Riding Club was founded by Noni Smith and Caitlin Casey, both professional trainers and instructors, in an effort to give back to their community. Caitlin and Noni each have a lifetime of experience with horses and teaching. Their methods are based in the classical horsemanship concepts of harmony, partnership and trust. They are passionate about providing opportunities to children and families in Siskiyou County.
